Item I give & bequeath to my Cousin Fereby Tart Seventy Pounds Current Money of North Carolina. Item I lend to my Son Elnathan Tart the plantation John Brashar now Lives on & two Negro Men Gedian and Lo for the Term of Six years- Item I give & bequeath to my Grand Son Lon Enos Tart the plantation whereon John Brasher now Lives & the Land appertaining thereto Containing Four Thousand & Seventy Acres & one negro man named Gedeon to him & his Heirs forever- Item I give & bequeath to my Grand Daughter Sarah Tart one Negro named Joe to her & her Heirs forever Item I give & bequeath to my wife Catharine Tart two negro Boys Frank & Anthony & also I Lend& also I Lend to my wife one negro man named Lin the span of Ten years and afterwards he shall be a free man & shall have his Corn field Orchard and House now known by the name of his, as his property And as for my negroes Jack, Vimes John & Sal I do lend to my Sons Elnathan & James Tart & my two Grand Children Enos & Sarah Tart to them & their Heirs & assigns forever and my Brandy Still I do leave to my sons Elnathan & James Tart & my Grandson Enos Tart. I also leave to my S James Tart Sixty Pounds I likewise leave to my wife & my Sons Elnathan & James Tart and my daughter Martha Eason all the money due to me to be Collected and equally divided & my Loan office Ticket money & two negroes Bristor & Hanor in the like manner and as for my plantation whereon I now live & all my lands on the South side of Toisnot Swamp-I give to my so James Tart he and his Heirs forever onely Catharine Tart my wife is to have her thirds during her Natural Life-I also Leave the Stock of every kind belonging to my Plantation & likewise my House hold furniture to be Equally Divided Between my wife my Son James & my daughter Martha Eason-and of this my Last Will I do make Ordain and Appoint my two sons Elnathan & James Tart my hole & Sole Executors Revoking all former Wills by Me heretofore made Ratifying and Confirming this & no other to be my Last Will & Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year first above Written Signed Sealed Published & declared by Jonathan + Tart (his mark) the Sd.
