I Thomas Taylor of Edgecombe County being very sick and weak but of perfect mind and sound memory thanks be to God...Item - to my son William Taylor 150 acres of land on Town Creek beginning at a red oak on said creek then by a line of marked trees to the back line of William (Hines) land to a pine a corner tree then along a line of marked trees to Johnston’s Mill Creek then down the mill creek to a pine a corner tree then along a line of marked trees to Town Creek and so up the creek to the first station; beginning. Item to my loving wife Elizabeth Taylor during her life or widowhood - all the rest of my estate and after her death to be equally divided between my six children, Cassandray Taylor, An, Mary, Perygin, Elizabeth, and John.
