 Wall, Garrard, will date 14 Dec 1760, proved Mar Ct 1761; In the name 
of God Amen... I Gerrard Wall of Edgecombe County... some disorder in 
my body though in my perfect mind and memory and my proper senses 
blessed be God for it... To my first son, Dorset Wall I give and 
bequeath my property to my (          ) of land containing 640 acres 
lying on the head of the (Pin Log) joyning (Abraham Saules) 
children- Dorset Wall, Elijah Wall, Moses Wall, James Wall, 
to my second son, Elijah Wall I give and bequeath the plantation and 
land whereon he now lives containing 180 acres to him and his heirs 
forever and also one heifer, I give unto my grandson, Elisha Wall 100 
acres of land on Griffin Swamp in Edgecombe County beginning at the 
upper end of that tract to him and his heirs forever; to my son Moses 
Wall I give and bequeath a tract of land containing 500 acres on 
Griffin Swamp Edgecombe County and also one heifer to him and his heirs 
forever; to my well beloved wife, Rachell Wall I lend my plantation 
whereon I now live and also my (still) during her life and widowhood 
and afterwards I give to my fourth son, James Wall the said plantation 
where I now live containing 220 acres of land to him and his heirs 
forever and also my still; I give and bequeath unto my daughter (?? 
Wall) one feather bed and furniture and one (linen sheet); I give and 
bequeath to my daughter Martha Wall one feather bed and furniture and 
one (Lenin sheet); The other part of what I am posest with I give to my 
wife Rachel Wall to be her  property the fore mentioned legacies 
excepted and what else after my lawful debts is paid (            ) to 
be equally divided among my six children and the money reserved for 
them till they become of age by my executors.  I likewise constitute 
and ordain my brother in law (William           ) (&         ) friend 
Charles Danniel my only sole executors of this my last will and 
testament and I do hereby (            ).  Signed Gerrard Wall (O), wit 
Francis Spivey (X), Charles Danniell, Elijah Wall, Sussanah Witt.  
Proved by oaths of Francis Spivey and Susannah Witt.  NOTE: VERY HARD
