Edgecombe County
	I, WILLIAM F. WEBB, of the County of Edgecombe, State of North 
Carolina, being of sound mind, but considering the uncertainty of life, do 
make and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking and declaring 
null and void all other wills and testaments heretofore made by me.
FIRST:	My executors, hereinafter named, shall give my body a decent burial, 
erect a suitable tombstone, or monument at my grave, collect all debts due my 
estate, and out of the first moneys coming into their hands belonging to my 
estate, shall pay all of my just debts, including funeral expenses and the 
cost of administration of my estate.
SECOND:	I give and bequeath to my daughter, Margaret Gay, the sum of FIFTEEN 
HUNDRED ($1500) DOLLARS to be paid to her by my son Seth Webb, within two 
years after my death. Said sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars is to be a charge 
and is hereby made a lien upon the lands hereinafter devised to my said son, 
Seth Webb.
	ALSO, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Margaret Gay, the sum of TW 
HUNDRED ($200) DOLLARS to be paid to her by my daughter, Almeta Webb, within 
two years after my death.  Said sum of Two Hundred Dollars is to be a charge 
and is hereby made a lien upont he lands hereinafter devised to my said 
daughter, Almeta Webb.
THIRD:		I give and bequeath to my son, G. Thomas Webb, the sum of 
FIFTEEN HUNDRED ($1500) DOLLARS to be paid to him by my son Seth Webb, within 
two years after my death and I hereby charge the lands hereinafter devised to 
my said son, Seth Webb, with a payment of said amount, and create said sum a 
lien on his share of the land hereinafter devised.
FOURTH:	I give and bequeath to my grandchildren, Braxton Webb, Nannie Webb, 
Chester Webb, John Ann Webb, Lilly May Webb, Jonas Webb and Ora Webb (being 
the children of my deceased son, E. G. Webb), the sum of SEVEN HUNDRED ($700) 
DOLLARS, or $100 to each of said children to be paid them by my son, Seth Webb 
within two years of my death.  Said sum of SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS is to be a 
charge and is hereby made a lien upon the land hereinafter devised to my son, 
Seth Webb.
FIFTH:	I give and devise to my daughter, Almeta Webb, that certain tract or 
parcel of land in Number Nine (9) Township, Edgecombe County, North Carolina, 
adjoining the lands of Van Webb, Elwell Webb and Seth Webb (the land herein 
devised to him) and others, and described as follows:  Beginning at a ditch in 
Van Webb’s line near the Sparta and Stantonsburg Road, thence along said ditch 
in a northwesterly direction with said ditch to the end of said ditch, thence 
a straight northwest course to another ditch in the edge of the woods, 
cornering, thence west to an iron stake on the south side of a ditch in Elwell 
Webb’s line, cornering, thence in a southerly direction along Elwell Wbb’s 
line, to the core of Van Webb’s, Ellwell Webb and William F. Webb, corning, 
thence along Van Webb’s line in an easterly direction to the beginning, 
containing about 20 acres, more or less.
	TO HAVE AND TO HOLD to her, the said Almeta Webb, her heirs and 
assigns, in fee simple, subject to the payment of $200.00 to Margaret Gay as 
set out in the second paragraph of Item Second of this will, which is made a 
specific charge on the real estate above devised.
SIXTH:	I give and devise to my son, Seth Webb, that certain tract or parcel 
of land lying and being situate in Number Nine Township, Edgecombe County, 
North Carolina, adjoining the tract above devised to my daughter, Almeta Webb, 
Van Webb, Fate Pittman and others, containing 90 acres, more or less, and 
being all of the balance of my land in Number Nine Township, Edgecombe County, 
North Carolina.  From this conveyance is hereby expressly excepted my family 
burying ground, to be laid off 25 yards square, to be determined by beginning 
at the center of the graveyard, as it is now located, and graveyard is 
excepted and set apart for a family burying ground for my children and their 
descendants.
	TO HAVE AND TO HOLD to him, the said Seth Webb, his heirs and assigns, 
in fee simple, subject to the payment of $1500 to Margaret Gay, $1500 to G. 
Thomas Webb and $700 to the children of E. G. Webb, deceased, aggregating 
$3700, as set out in Items Second, Third and Fourth of this will, which said 
payments are hereby made specific charges on the real estate above devised to 
my son, Seth Webb.
SEVENTH:	I give and bequeath to my daughter, Almeta Webb, all of my 
household and kitchen furniture of every description.
EIGHTH:	ALL THE BALANCE of my property of every description, including money, 
notes, choses in action, accounts, etc., I direct shall be equally divided 
among my four children, to-wit: Seth Webb, G. Thomas Webb, Margaret Gay and 
Almeta Webb, or the issue of such that may be dead, the children of the one 
deceased is to take his or her mother or father’s share.
NINTH:	I hereby constitute and appoint my son-in-law E. C. Gay and my son, 
Seth Webb, my lawful executors, to all intents and purposed, to execute this 
last will and testament, according to the true intent and meaning of the same, 
and every part and clause hereof.
	IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, the said William F. Webb, have hereunto set my 
hand and seal, this the 9th day of October, 1925.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said William F. Webb, to be his 
last will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request, and in his 
presence, and in the presence of each other, do subscribe our names as 
witnesses thereto.
