Imprimis I lend the labour of my Negro man Sam to my beloved wife for and during the term of eight years and then I give my said Negro man Sam to my son (Bettajan Williamson) but if my said son should happen to die before he comes to the age twenty one years then I give my said Negro man Sam to my beloved wife before mentioned. Item I give and bequeath to my said son (Bettajan Williamson) one cow and calf and one sow & piggs. Item I give and bequeath to my said son (Bettajan Williamson) & to his heirs forever my survey of land lying Durmans Branch in Edgecombe County. Item All the remainder of my estate of what nature or kind soever after my just debts & legacies are paid and the expenses of taking out the deed for the land I have herein given my said son I give and bequeath to my beloved wife before mentioned. Item I nominate and appoint Joseph Cotton (the ? Joseph William) & Laureny Williamson my beloved wife whole and sole exe of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 25th day of Febry 1761. The within Will as in open Court exhibited by the exors and proved by the oath of William Sherrod and of the subscribing Williamsons thereto and at the same time Joseph Cotton and Lurency Williamson were qualified as exors which is ordered to be certified and the will recorded.
