	Worrell, John T. estate file, 1867.  Nov. CT. 1867 Petition of 
W.M. Pippen, administrator of John T. Worrell, dec’d John D. Worrell, 
Joseph H. Worrell, James B. Worrell, Mary F. Worrell, Sarah E. Worrell 
and Martha A. Worrell, infant children of John T. Worrell, dec’d and 
heirs at law of John T. Worrell; Pippen was appointed adm. At Aug. Ct. 
1867 and took into his possession the estate of intestate which was 
valued at about $50 and debts are about $1500 and charges for 
administration will be about $75; intestate owned a tract of land 
containing 37 ˝ acres adjoining the lands of (J)F. Batts and others and 
it will be necessary to sell all of the land to pay debts and asks 
permission to sell land at public auction; John T. Worrell left him 
surviving a widow, Sally Ann who has since intermarried with John 
McFarley and she has not been assigned a dower but which would be 
subject to her life estate; he also left the surviving children listed 
above and administrators asks court to appoint a guardian for surviving 
infant children; court appointed Irvin Thigpen as guardian.  Edgecombe
