The Semi-Weekly Messenger (Wilmington NC) March 4, 1898
A Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley train struck Mrs Wall, an aged lady and mother of
C T Wall, a prominent merchant, Saturday evening at four o'clock near Rural
Hall, breaking one of her legs. Physicians were summoned and set the broken
limb. Mrs Wall is reported doing well. She is about 86 years old and somewhat deaf.
