        WHIG DELEGATES APPOINTED
   At a Whig District Convention, held at Yadkinsvile, on the 2nd instant, the 
following persons were appointed delegates to the National Convention of the 
Whig Party, which will meet in Baltimore, on the 17th, viz:
HON. A. H. SHEPPARD of Forsyth; HON R. C. PURYEAR of Yadkin; DR. E. T. 
BROADNAX of Rockingham and B.F. KITTRELL of Davidson.
