Widow of W.B. Glenn passes away at local hospital. Mrs. Sallie E. Glenn, widow of W.B. Glenn, widely known in Winston-Salem, passed away at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:42 o'clock. She had been in declining health two years and confined to her bed the past four months. Mrs. Glenn was born in Yadkin county March 2, 1856, a daughter of the late William A. and Antoinette Matthews. Her education was obtained at Salem College. She was married to Mr. Glenn October 5, 1875, and he died May 2, 1892. The greater part of her life had been spent in Winston-Salem. She lived with her sons in New York five years and returned here in 1925. For several years she had made her home at the Zinzendorf Hotel. Mrs. Glenn was a member of Reynolda Presbyterian Church. She was well known throughout the city. Survivors include three sons, William Bynum Glenn and William Asheton Glenn, of New York, and Thomas S. Glenn, of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Miss Antoinette Glenn of this city; a brother, Frank L. Matthews, and two nieces, Mrs. Thomas W. Davis and Mrs. John Coleman, all of Winston-Salem.
