Winston-Salem, Nov. 9 - Mr. William G. Potts, who has been seriously ill for a 
month, died at 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home on Liberty street. 
He underwent an operation about a week ago and it was thought that he would 
recover, but a few days ago he took a change for the worse and gradually grew 
worse until the end. Mr. Potts was 53 years old. The funeral services were 
held from the late residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by Rev. 
Dr. H.A. Brown, pastor of the First Baptist church.
