JOHN THOMAS THOMAS

Born: March 05, 1930
Died: June 16, 2015

   Franklin - John Thomas Thomas, Sr., 85, passed away June 16, 2015 in Winston-
Salem, NC. He was born in Silver Springs, MD, a son of the late Clinton Eaton 
Thomas and Louise Seal Thomas and was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, 
Frances Butler Thomas. Mr. Thomas was co-owner with his wife of Thomas Printing 
and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.
   He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Clinton Eaton Thomas, Charles Howard Thomas, 
James Holland and 3 sisters, Mary Louise Keene, Marguerite Seal Glascock and 
Susan Judy Canova.
   Survivors include one daughter, Joan T. Sparks (Dennis) of Martinsville, VA; 
one son, John T. Thomas, Jr. (Ruth) of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren, Amy 
Sparks-Martin (Kevin), Dr. Abbey S. Hawkins ( Dr. Jeremy), Andrea S. Eanes 
(Josh), John S. Thomas (Rebecca), and Anne E. Thomas; and 10 great-grandchildren, 
Kaitlyn, Kevin Jr., Kristopher, Kinsey and Karson Martin and Landon and Leland 
Hawkins and Landon, Luke and Savannah Jane Thomas; and three sisters, Sarah Jane 
Bristow, Penelope Ann Hagstrom and Matilda Lee Tavenner.
  The funeral will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at Wright Funeral 
Home, Franklin with Dr. David Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar 
Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at
