Colbert, general secretary of the local Y.M.C.A., and his bride, formerly Miss Pearl Dortch, of Taylortown, La., have arrived in the city and are at the home of Mrs. R.F. Gray, on Fifth street. Mr. and Mrs. Colbert were married last Wednesday, the ceremony being performed in the Methodist church at Taylortown by Rev. John F. Foster, of New Orleans. The dame of honor was Mrs. Frank M. Weaver, of Asheville, and the maid of honor, Miss Olo Lee Dortch, sister of the bride. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party was tendered a reception at the home of the bride, on Ashe Point plantation. The wedding and reception were attended by a large circle of friends from all parts of the State. The bride is a daughter of Senator E.S. Dortch, of Louisiana. She is a most popular and attractive young lady and is very prominent in Shreveport society, and her popularity is attested the large and representative group of friends from Shreveport who attended the wedding and reception.
