STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF EQUITY
FRANKLIN COUNTY June Term, 1807

SHEMUEL COOKE
                
Vs.

WM. BOWERS, JAMES BOWERS, YOUNG McLEMORE and FRANCIS, his wife, HARWOOD POPE 
and ELIZABETH, his wife, JOHN GOODLOE and POLLY, his wife

The Complainants state that they together with the defendants in this case, 
that two of the defendants, to wit, JOHN GOODLOE and POLLY, his wife, are not 
residents of this State. It is therefore ordered that publication be made for 
three weeks in the Minerva, that unless the said defendants appear, at the 
next Court of Equity to be held for the County of Franklin on the 2nd Monday 
after the 4th Monday in September next, and plead, answer or demur to this 
petition, the complainant’s bill, as to them, will be taken pro confesso.
