C. HORTON and others Petition to Divide Slaves vs. MIAL HORTON and others It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that MIAL HORTON, CALVIN J. HORTON, _____ COLEMAN, W. R. HORTON, W. E. FREEMAN and MARY, his wife, defendants in this cause, reside beyond the limits of this State; it is therefore, on motion, ordered by the Court that advertisement be made for six weeks successively in the Raleigh Standard of North Carolina, notifying the said defendants of the filing of the petition and that unless they appear at the next term of this Court and answer the petition, the same shall be taken pro confesso, and heard ex parte as to them.
