Hawkins and on M.O.R. ----- Robert Hill acknowledged a Deed of Sale to Nicholas Murphy and Edmund Kimbol, and on M.O.R. ----- Edmund Kimbol and Nicholas Murphy acknowledged a Deed of Sale, to Fanning Jones and on M.O.R. ----- A Deed from Aaron Bledsoe to Benjamin Bledsoe, was proved by the oath of George Bledsoe and on M.O.R. ----- State vs. James Dunstan} Petit Larceny. Abner Cheves, Stephen Coutrey, Etheldred Pippin, Thomas Walker, and Robert C. Hall, Bail for Defendant, brought their principal into Court, and Surrendered him in discharge of themselves, who is prayed into Custody, and is in custody accordingly. ----- A Deed from Richard Finch to Henry Goodloe was proved by the oath of JeSse Person and on M.O.R. [end of page] Minutes of September Court 1815 ----- A Deed from Simon Murphy, to Parker Murphy, was proved by the oath of Martin Murphy and on M.O.R. ----- A CommiSsion having been exhibited appointing Nathaniel Hunt a Justice of the Peace for this county the said Nathaniel Hunt came into court and took the oaths prescribed by Law for the Qualification of Public Offices, as also the oath of Office, and thereupon took his seat. ----- Eppes Moody Acknowledged a Deed to Micajah T. Cotton, and on M.O.R. ----- A Deed from Robert Lyndsey to Abraham White, was proved by the oath of Callum Moore and on M.O.R. ----- Smith Patterson Acknowledged a Deed to William Coppage and on M.O.R. ----- No. 1 Joseph M. Myres vs. Charles Wynne} Case,- Jury charged to wit, Joseph J. Alston, Joshua Johnson, John Portis, Lewis Bobbitt, Jeremiah Perry (fork), Marshall Roberts, James Collins, Jeptha Wright, William [end of page] Minutes of September Court 1815 ----- ending at this Term and that &c- ----- The Court proceeded to appoint a County Trustee, Whereupon Presley C. Person, was duly elected and appointed to that office, who entered into Bond, in the sum of Two thousand pounds with Jordan Denson and Henry Goodloe his Securities, ----- William Cook Senr. Acknowledged a Bill of Sale to Edward Finch and on M.O.R. ----- It appearing to the Court that Polly Perry Widow and relict of Benjamin Perry deceased had duly relinquished her right of Administration, upon the Estate of her deceased husband to George Murphy, who was appointed accordingly and thereupon came into Court, and entered into Bond, in the sum of Thirty thousand Dollars, with Joseph Jno. Alston, Jacob Hunter Thomas Lanier, Amos Jones and Edward J. Jones his Securities- ----- Simon G. Jeffreys Esquire returned a list of Taxables in Captain Gays district for 1815- which is filed, [end of page] Minutes of December Court 1815 ----- Rebeccah Foster Administratrix of John Foster deceased, returned an Inventory of the Estate, of his Intestate upon oath and on M.O.R. ----- George Murphy Administrator of Benjamin Perry deceased, returned an Inventory and Account of Sales, of his intestate Estate on Oath and on M.O.R. ----- A Deed from Sarah Gupton to Thomas Gupton, was proved by the Oath of Robert Cooper, and on M.O.R. ----- A Deed from John Barns to Francis Person, was proved by the oath of Jack B. Person, and on M.O.R. ----- Ordered that Thomas Crocker Administrator &c of William Winston deceased sell the personal and perishable Estate of said decedent, at Twelve months Credit and report ----- [end of page] Minutes of December Court 1815. ----- Ordered that William Green, G. Hill and James Yarbrough, Audit the Accounts of the Executors of G. Goodloe deceased, and report &c. ----- Ordered that David Lewis Constable of the Court, be allowed four Dollars, for his Attendance at this Court, an that &c. ----- It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Christopher Moses, a free Boy of Color, is claimed by Nicholas Murphy, not having been Bound to him, and that said Boy is badly clothed, and otherwise ill treated- It is ordered tht said boy be placed in the care of Green Hill, untill next court, and that notice iSsue to said Murphy, to appear at next court, and shew cause why said Boy may not be removed from his Service ----- A Power of Attorney from Benjamin Wright to James Ferrell, was proved by the Oath of Benjamin Arrendell, and on M.O.R.
