Perry the Rpt where is hereby acknowledged and myself fully satisfied and paid, have given, granted ,bargained and sold and by these presents both give grant, bargain and sell, carry and deliver to the said Nancy & Kimbro jointly in trust for all my children during the lifetimes of myself and my wife Polly Perry all that tract of land upon which I now reside . . . and at our death to be sold to the highest bidder and the money to be equally divided among all our living issue of those that may be dead" "...the said Burwell Perry died years after making the said deed, and Polly Perry, his widow died in the month of April 1860 . . . " ". . . the said Burell Perry, had the following children to wit: Your Oratrix Nancy who intermarried with your Orator Obadiah on the 19th of Dec 1851, Kimbro Perry who left the state and has not been heard from in twenty years, Caswell Perry, who left the state and has not been heard from in twenty years, Calvin Perry who left the state and has not been heard from in fifteen years -- Hinton Perry, Middy Perry who intermarried with Jno Parrot, Clinton Perry and Minton L Perry and Rebecca Perry, who intermarried with Obadiah Dickens and died leaving four children to wit your Orators and Oratrix Ben B. Dickens, James M. Dickens, Perry Dickens and Rebecca Dickens -- Calvin Perry married and when he left North Carolina (having separated from his wife, whom he left in this state and who is since deceased) had three children who are now living, to wit Marry who married one Jos Clopton, Nancy who married one John Davis and Martha . . ."
