Dairy & Notebook of James Auld (1765-1789)
This notebook was found in the William Papers, Box 32 in the manuscript 
Dept., William R. Perkins Library at Duke University.
The diary is said to be made by JAMES AULD in his own handwriting & is now 
part of the collection at Duke University.

James Auld was a prominent Lawyer. He migrated from Maryland to Halifax NC. A 
bonus item is in this diary.
A collection  of fees for marriage license in 1765-1766 in Halifax Co and the 
recording of the names of the bride & grooms & dates.
