   DEATH BY LIGHTNING -- We learn from a correspondent, that MR. GEORGE 
BLACKNALL, while sitting in the counting room of a store at Haysville, 
Franklin County, on the 8th inst., was killed by lightning. His hat, cravat 
and shirt were much torn. One or two other persons were considerably inuured 
by the shock. MR. BLACKNALL has left an affectionate wife and one child to 
lament his premature death. -- Raleigh Star
