   I have to inform you of the melancholy tidings of the death of MATTHEW 
DICKINSON, ESQ., late the Principal of the Franklin Academy, aged 28 years. 
This dissolution took place on Sunday, the 17th inst. at eight o’clock a.m. at 
the house of ALEXANDER FALCONER ESQ. of  Franklin County. Having obtained a 
license to practice law – at the last Supreme Court, he was cut off when his 
prospects to shine were just beginning to brighten. MR. DICKINSON was a native 
of Connecticut, and educated at Yale College – a man of extensive literary 
acquirements and real worth.
