Marie "Ree" Gay, 84, of 133 Gay Road, died 20 Aug 2008 at WakeMed. She was born 
in Franklin County, about 1924, to Junie Eric Gay (31 May 1895 - 19 Mar 1967) 
and Hattie Blanche Duke (3 Feb 1903 - 7 Oct 1996). She continued to reside at 
the Junie Eric Gay homeplace her entire life. She was a member of Bethlehem 
Baptist Church where she achieved greater than 30 years of perfect attendance 
prior to her declining health.

Funeral services were held at Bethlehem Baptist Church and she was buried at 
Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. 

She is survived by her sister, Hilda and husband Wilton Gay of Zebulon; 
brother, George Lawrence Gay and his wife Jean; nieces, Ginger Caldwell of 
Youngsville, Amy Gay Ray (Michael) of Zebulon, Cheryl Gay Lanier (Robert) of 
Zebulon; nephews, Andy Gay (Laura) of Zebulon, Randy Gay (Judy) of Zebulon, 
Ronald Gay (Michelle) of Rolesville, Mike Gay, Wally Gay, and Barry Gay. She 
was preceded in death by brothers Ronald Lythford Gay (22 Nov 1922 - 1 Sep 
2004) and Junie Broadus Gay (14 Aug 1920 - 30 Apr 1969)

The family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund 
at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Youngsville.
