Ronald Lythford Gay, 81, of Halifax Road, Youngsville, died 1 Sep 2004, at 
WakeMed. He was born 22 Nov 1922 in Franklin County to Junie Eric Gay (31 May 
1895-19 Mar 1967) and Hattie Blanche Duke (3 Feb 1903-7 Oct 1996). Lythford was 
a farmer and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a United States Army 
veteran.

He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Eric Gay; by his infant daughter, 
Vicki Jewel Gay; and by his brother, Junie Broadus Gay (14 Aug 1920-30 Apr 1969)

Surviving: Wife, Annie Ruth Wall Gay;
           two daughters, Ginger Gay Caldwell of Raleigh and
                          Amy Gay Ray (Michael) of Zebulon;
           son, Ronald Gay (Michelle) of Rolesville;
           two sisters, Maggie Marie Gay and
                        Hilda Gay, both of Zebulon;
           brother, George Lawrence Gay;
           five grandchildren, Kristyn Gay, Erick Gay, Trevor Ray, Zachary
           Ray and Madeline Ray.

Funeral services were held 4 Sep 2004, at Bethlehem Baptist Church and he was 
buried in the church cemetery.
