Rachel Martin Howell, 92, of 4713 Zebulon Rd., died 19 Nov 2007 at Wake 
Medical. She was born 21 Oct 1915 in Wake County to Ebbie Bryant Martin, Sr. 
(25 Dec 1887-11 Sep 1964) and Pearl Hill Perry (4 Sep 1891-15 Apr 1973). She 
was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hubert Howell, Jr. (20 Jan 1917-2 
Jul 1966). Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her 
sisters;  Ruby Martin Gay (21 Jul 1911-23 Jan 1996)
          Bettie Martin Perry (21 May 1913-21 Apr 1999)
brothers; Cedel Wilson Martin (23 Oct 1921-25 Dec 1954)
          Ebbie Bryant Martin, Jr. (27 Aug 1918-23 Jun 1979)
          Eddie D. Martin (1919-4 Jan 1972)
nephew;   Tony Wilson Martin 30 Jan 1942-21 Jun 1996)

Funeral service was held at Hopkins Chapel Church and she was buried in the 
Mitchell Family Cemetery in Youngsville.

Surviving: Brother, Edsel O. Martin and wife Carrie of Zebulon
           sister-in-law, Alice M Overton
           4 nephews, 10 nieces, 32 great nephews and nieces, 29 great-great
           nephews and nieces 
           and lifelong special friend, Jimmy Pittman.
