Charlie Abe Johnson was born January 14, 1916 in Franklin County, NC. He was 
the son of the late Charlie D and Bertie Ray Johnson. He died August 2, 2008 in 
Wake County and is buried in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jesse Raper Johnson, his sisters 
and brothers, Lucille Jeans, Betty Thelma Glueck, Irene Johnson, Wes, Sherwood, 
Brownie, C.H., and Ulysses Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lewis Johnson of Sanford; sons, Charlie A. 
Johnson, Jr. and wife Kelly of Glendale, Arizona and Larry D Johnson and wife 
Amy of Wendell; sister, Sarah Pearce of Zebulon; grandchildren, Laura and Nina 
Johnson, Bryan and Matthew Johnson.   

Additional Comments:
He was a retired rate clerk with Trailways Bus Line.
