G. (Pennie Pearce) Mitchell Youngsville, NC --Funeral services for Mrs. Clem G Mitchell,affectionally known as Aunt Penn 91, who died after a short illness, were held Sunday afternoon from the old home place near Mitchell's Mill with the Rev. J. A. Senton, The Rev. M. C. Madron and the Rev. Odell Pulley officiating. Interment followed in the Mitchell Family Cemetery on Mitchell Store Road. Surviving are the following children, Mrs. J. W. Mitchell (Etha), Mrs. J. F. Walters (Lillie), Mrs. J. E. Richards (Lucy), Mrs. M. G. Pulley (Aldonia), C. W. Mitchell, Festus Mitchell and Peyton R. Mitchell; 37 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Siddie Mitchell. From her journal, she had written " I have read my Bible through since Thanksgiving 1939 eight times. Her golden text was 2 Timothy 4:8. I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness .... Another comment she wrote about her funeral service was "Take this slow if it takes to dark to bury me".
