Jerry Wayne Mitchell, Sr., 68, of 501 Gay Road, died 7 Jul 2010 at his home.

He was born 27 Jun 1942 in Franklin County, the son of the late Myrtle Jackson 
and Durwood Lellon Mitchell. He was retired from John Umstead Hospital where he 
was a Certified Medical Technician and he owned and operated Mitchell's Food 
Mart & Tackle.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Wayne Mitchell, Jr. (14 May 1962-27 
May 2003).

Surviving: wife, Crettie H Mitchell;
           sister, Shirley Wood of Greensboro.
