Catherine Tharrington Pearce of the Cedar Rock Community passed away 9 Mar 2017.

She was born 20 Jun 1924 in Franklin County, North Carolina the daughter of Clinton
Allen 
Tharrington (16 Nov 1896 - 19 Jan 1972) and Betsy Boddie Baker (26 Jan 1898 - 20 Oct
1988)

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Lennis V Pearce (24 Apr 1917 - 7 Nov
1999)
                                               sisters: Dorothy Tharrington Gupton
(14 Feb 1932 - 23 Mar 1964)
                                               Helen Tucker Tharrington Toney (29
Sep 1927 - 26 Nov 2001)
                                               brothers: Clinton Allen Tharrington,
Jr. (1921 - 1978)
                                                William B. Tharrington (1935 -
1982)

A funeral service was held at Cedar Rock First Baptist Church where she was a
member. Burial 
followed at the Pearce Family Cemetery in Franklin County.

Catherine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Joyce Pearce;
grandsons, Larry 
Pearce and wife, Teresa; Michael Pearce and wife, Sandra; Marty Pearce all of Cedar
Rock; 5 great-
grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. 

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Cedar Rock First
Baptist Church, 
4879 N.C. Hwy. 56 E., Castalia, NC 27816
