Thilbert Howard Pearce, 87, of Franklinton, died 27 Oct 2008, at his home. He 
was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Ella Cornog and Howard S 
Pearce. He retired from the Franklin County Health Department. He was a member 
of the American Legion Post No. 52, the Confederate Heritage Society and Sons 
of Confederate Veterans. He was a World War II veteran, serving with US Army 
Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his son, Thilbert H Pearce II.

Surviving: wife, Grace Giddings Pearce.

A graveside service with military rites was held 29 Oct 2008 at Fairview 
Cemetery in Franklinton.
