She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Repsie Rogers and James Hilary "Possum" Pearce. She retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections where she was a correctional officer. She was a member of Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Robert L Rogers and Michael L Pearce; two sisters, Iris P Mason and Betty Sue Pearce; and three brothers, James Hilary Pearce, Jr., Maynard Pearce and Dwight Pearce. Surviving: husband of 48 years, Leroy Pearce; daughter, Linda Rogers Jones (Mike) of Rolesville; son, Julian Earl "Skipper" Rogers of Zebulon; six brothers, John R Pearce of Raleigh; James Vernon Pearce, Roy Rogers Pearce, Hilary Pearce, and Thomas Pearce of Zebulon; Jimmy Charles Pearce of Wake Forest; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held 28 Apr 2006 at Beulah Christian Baptist Church and she was buried in Rolesville Baptist Church Cemetery.
