Strickland Funeral Home - Wendell
Elvin Pearce Poythress was born 16 Mar 1924 to Addison Nathan Pearce (6 May 1895 -
16 Sep 1951) and Adna Alma Privette (19 Jan 1896 - 19 Jun 1984), she died 20 Dec 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents:
husband of 64 years: Claude Raymond Poythress (28 Nov 1919 - 13 Jan 2006)

two brothers:  
Walter Plybon Pearce (25 Feb 1916 - 5 Dec 2004)
Forrest Nesbit Pearce (17 Jun 1929 - 23 Feb 1999)

three sisters:  
Virginia Ercelle Pearce Clayton (11 Mar 1918 - 8 Mar 1989)
Melba Ernestine Pearce Ellis (12 Feb 1922 - 18 Nov 2004)
Velda Jean Pearce Smith (17 Mar 1936 - 14 Dec 1995)

She is survived by one son:  
Claude Raymond Poythress, Jr and wife Wanda

two daughters:   
Dianne Poythress Mullins
Sharon Poythress Becker and husband Butch

brother:   Addison Elmer "Chief" Pearce

10 grandchildren
14 great-grandchildren
7 great-great grandchildren

Funeral services were held at Pearce Baptist Church and burial was in the church
