Strickland Funeral Home
Elmo Franklin Privette, 77, of 1115 Perry Road, died February 15, 2009. He was 
a native of Franklin County, son of the late Herbert Kearney Privette and 
Thettie Pearce. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kirby and Keston 
Privette and sister, Reba P. Peterson; sons-in-law, Robert "Bud" Smith and 
Cornell Medlin. Burial was February 18, 2009 at Pearce Baptist Church cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Upchurch Privette; daughters, 
Lisa P Medlin and Joni P Beedle, both of Zebulon. Sisters, Juel P Gay of 
Zebulon, Millie P Goodnight of Greensboro, and Tillie P Hilvar of Raleigh and 
drandchildren, Candice and Ashleigh Medlin, and Cameron and Mary Collura.       

Additional Comments:
Elmo was a retired auditor with the NC Department of Revenue. He was a veteran 
of the US Army.
