Sylvester Sebastian Ransdell was the son of Edward W Ransdell and Matilda A Finch.
He was born 
in Jun 1841 and he died 14 Nov 1908. He married 25 Oct 1862 to Louisa Horton  (Mar
1842 - 
unknown) in Franklin County, North Carolina. His children were:
         Charles Edward Ransdell (16 Jan 1868 - 11 May 1941)
         William Caswell Ransdell (1869 - 1954) 
         Malchus Lafayette Ransdell (28 Dec 1872- 16 Dec 1963)
         Matilda A Ransdell Strickland (25 Oct 1875 - 28 Oct 1918)
         Silvester Samuel Ransdell (1877 - 3 Oct 1926)
         
He was buried at Ransdell Family Cemetery in Franklin County, North Carolina.
