Betty Lou Blackley Ray was born 22 May 1930 to Willie Obie Blackley (25 Aug 1903 
- 13 Oct 1998) and Mabel Mae Pearce (7 Sep 1906 - 16 Feb 1969), and she died 28 
Apr 2017. She was devoted to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents:
daughter-in-law: Toni Ann Duke Ray (17 Aug 1953 - 24 Feb 2008)
        brother: Willis Obie Blackley (14 Jul 1926 - 29 Mar 1996)

Surviving: husband of 68 years, Willard Lindberg Ray
son: Larry Ray
grandchildren: Autumn Britt Ray Harris and husband Jamie
               Ashley Lauren Ray Wood and husband Sam
great-grandchildren: Sawyer Harris, Thatcher Harris, Jake Harris, Jeremy Wood 
and Camryn Wood.

Funeral services were held at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church and burial followed 
in the church cemetery. Flowers were accepted or the family requested that 
memorial contributions be made to Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church. Arrangements 
were by L.Harold Poole Funeral Service in Knightdale, NC.
