    Betty "Joyce" Wright Richards, 69 of 22 Jacks Way, Zebulon, beloved wife, 
mother, grandmother and sister went to be with her Lord on Thursday night at   
Wake Med in Raleigh, She was born April 21, 1934 in  Franklin County, the 
daughter of the late Julius Wright and Stancy Perry Wright.  Mrs. Richards 
retired with 31 years of service concluding as a quality control supervisor 
with ITT in Raleigh.  She was a member of the Zebulon Shrinettes and Mudcats 
Booster Club.
   She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack Richards; children, 
William (Bill) Richards and wife Marie of Louisburg, Lyn Richards Massey and 
husband Ray of Zebulon, Tracy N. Richards and wife Rachel Jewel of Louisburg: 
grandchildren, Marlet Massey & David B. Massey; brothers, Julius Wright, Jr. 
and Alvin Wright of Zebulon. Predeceased by a brother, Edward Eugene Wright.
   Funeral services were held at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel at 3:oo pm on 
Sunday, August 24, 2003 in Wendell, NC. with visitation from 1:00-3:00 pm 
prior.  Burial followed at Mitchell Family Cemetery on Mitchell Town Rd, 
Zebulon, NC.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 
Oberlin Rd, Suite 220, Raleigh, NC  27605
