Strickland Funeral Home August 2008
Melba Johnson Richardson, 80, died 1 Aug 2008. She was born 7 Feb 1928 in 
Franklin County to the late Edgar S Johnson and Edna Upchurch. She was a 
retired nursing assistant working at both Wake Med and Eastern Wake Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy "Teeney" Richardson; 
grandson, Terry Whitley; and brother, James Proctor Johnson.

Funeral services were held at Corinth Baptist Church and she was buried in the 
church cemetery.

Surviving: Daughters, Wanda R Perry and Brenda R Whitley (Stacey) of Zebulon; 
grandchildren, Cheri W Parrish (Ronnie) of Zebulon, Ricky M Perry (Penny) of 
Bunn and Eddie D Perry of Zebulon; great grandchildren, Aaron Perry, Alli 
Parrish and Ashley Holmes; great aunt, Ruby Randall of Fuquay; cousin, EC Perry 
(Rebecca) of Alabama; special friends, Jimmy Benson, Susie Verzaal, Carl Smith,
and Carl and Petra Boling.

The family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Corinth Baptist 
Church Youth Program.
