He was born in Franklin County on 22 Jun 1921 to Harry Thomas Rogers (10 Mar 1893 - 11 Oct 1967) and Margaret Ann Mikkelsen (21 Jan 1898 - 23 Oct 1984). Funeral services were held at Bethlehem Baptist Church and he was buried in the church cemetery.
