That is to say, first of all I recommend my soul to almighty God that gave it me, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and my body I recommend to be buried in a decent Christian like manner at the discretion of my Excutors herein after named and as to whing such worldly Estate wherwith it hath pleased almight God to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the same in manner and form following. I give and bequeth to each of my daughters Elizabeth Dent, Hannah Jean, Mary Freeman, Amey Bridges, Nancy Freeman, Susannah Bridges 5 shillings current money to be by them freely enjoyed. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Atha Green 5 shillings current money, to be by him freely enjoyed. Item: I lend to my beloved wife Agness the land & plantation whereon I now live:, as also my negro man Gilbert, together with all my household furniture and stock of every kind and discription during her natural life, on the condition that she does not rent out any part of my land nor hire out the said negro Gilbert. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Obadiah Green his heirs and agigns forever, at the death of my wife Agnes all my land containing 210 acres, my negro Gilbert, and all the ewsiduer of my estate, household furniture and livestockof every discription herebefore lent to my wife Agnes to be by him freely _______ and enjoyed. Signed Sealed and pronounced to be the last will of testament of John Green this 10 day of August 1803 in presence of J. Hunt, D. W. Davis, William Rives. Note added: I do hereby nominate courtitute & appoint my wife Agnes executria and my son Obediah Executor to this my last will and testament, hereby disannulling all former wills by me made & declaring this my last will and testament in writing.
