State of North Carolina, Franklin County September the 22, 1862.

This day I Nathan P. Green being of sound mind and memory do publish and make 
this my last will an testimony to wit first I commit my sole to God that gave 
it and my body to be desently bared next I lend everything that I possest to 
my loving wife Mina Allis Green until my youngis child comes of age to raise 
them and to shool them and whin the youngest child comes of age the negroes is 
to be equally devide between my wife and al of my children or the lawful heirs 
of thers bodies and all of my furnishable property tp be sold with the 
exception of one years support at that time for my wife and the family that 
will remain with her at that time over and above one child part of my negroes 
and the perisable I lend all of my land to my wife during her natural life 
timr or wodowhood to do what she pleases with and after her death to bee sold 
and equally devided between all of my children an the lawful heirs of their 
bodies. Last by I do appoint my worthy friend George Winston jr my exayor to 
this my last will and testiment to settle my business Nathan P. Green
