After the war,his wife, Jane Wilson Crawford, married to Thomas Pringle Grier of Mecklenburg Co., NC and the following records were taken from the old bible in possession of the Grier family of Mecklenburg Co. The following slave's births were listed in the old bible: Isaac - b. Sept 1805 (thereabout) Linda - b. April 1812 Mariah - b. July 26 1836 Jane (Mariah's daughter) b. June 30-1850 Roswell (her son) b. June 12 - 1858 Margaret (Patsy's daughter) b. April 13- 1846 Rachel " " b. May 17-1848 Hannah " " b. Nov 9 - 1850 Giles " son b. April 6 - 1853 Chambers " " b. Oct 26-1855 Pink " " b. March 15 - 1858 Patsy (Margaret's daughter) b. Oct 24 - 1863 The Crawford's home was in the South Point area of Gaston Co. Thomas Pringle Grier lived in the home of his wife, Jane Wilson Crawford, until in later years, he moved the family back to the Steele Creek area of Mecklenburg County, NC.
