Terrell, aged citizen of Gastonia died Thursday evening at 9:35 p.m. at his home 206 East Long Avenue. The deceased had been in bad health for the past two years, the cause of his death being heart trouble. Thomas Buvord Terrell was born in Tocco, Georgia, on April 6, 1861. Hence he was 62 years of age at his death. At the age of fifteen years, the deceased became connected with the Southern Railway system and served as a section boss for thirty years, retiring two years ago. Later he was employed by the Piedmont and Northern Lines. His last work was with the Southern as watchman at a local crossing. When twenty-five years of age, Mr. Terrell married Miss Alice Jenkins, on November 4, 1886. To them were born six children, all boys, all of whom are now living; these are Carl G., Robert B., Claude J., Guy E., Geo. T., and Everett A. Terrell. In addition to the above, the deceased is survived by one brother, Mr. Aaron Terrell, of Aaron, Georgia. Funeral ceremonies will be held at the home Friday morning at 9 a.m., with Rev. A.L. Stanford, pastor of the Main Street Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood cemetery.
