Gates County, NC - Isaac Blanchard - Act to Legitimate

An Act to alter the name of Isaac Blanchard of the county of Gates,
and to legitimate him

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina,
and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That from and
after the passage of this act, Isaac Blanchard of the county of Gates,
an illegitimate son of James Hofler and Elizabeth Blanchard, shall
hereafter be known and called by the name of Isaac Hofler, and by
that name may sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, and receive
and take property by descent or distribution, in as full and ample
manner, as though he had been born in wedlock, any law to the contrary 
notwithstanding.
