MYRTLE LOUISE ROUNTREE BAINES

GATESVILLE, N.C. – Mrs. Myrtle Rountree Baines, 75, died Thursday night in 
Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
  A native of Gates County, she was the widow of Shirley Clinton Baines, Sr.
  She was a member of Gatesville United Methodist Church.
  Survivors include a son, Fred Baines of Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. 
Louise Spain of Circleville, Ohio; two sisters, J.M. Eason of Gatesville and 
Mrs. C.P. Hasty of Portsmouth, Va.; a brother, H.C. (Mack) Rountree of 
Gates; and two grandchildren.
  A funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Gatesville United Methodist 
Church by the Rev. Everette E. Bryan and the Rev. Ronald E. Farrar. Burial 
will be in Gatesville Cemetery with Jack W. Harrell Funeral Home, 
Gatesville, in charge. The family will assemble at the home of a sister, 
Mrs. J.M. Eason in Gatesville.
