HATTIE HOLLOWELL BYRD

   SUFFOLK – A funeral service for Hattie Hollowell Byrd, 87, was held Monday at 
2:30 p.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home. Burial was in the family cemetery, 
Holland Station.

   Mrs. Byrd died Friday in Autumn Carr Nursing Home. A native of Gates County, 
N.C., she was the widow of Lonnie Byrd. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist 
Church.

   Survivors include two stepdaughter, Lucy B. Holland and Louvenia B. Flythe of 
Franklin; a brother, Henry Hollowell of Hobbsville, N.C.; six grandchildren; 
eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
