T. Baggett, of Nansmond County, after a long illness, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the R. W. Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Sydney Cobb pastor of the Great Fork Baptist Church conducting the services. Burial will follow in the Holly Lawn Cemetery. He was the son of the late Paltire and Sarah Spivey Blanchard of Gates County, N.C. A retired sawyer, he was formerly connected with C. W. Evans Lumber Company of Edenton, N.C. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha Byrum Blanchard of Norfolk; six daughters; Mrs. C. J. Warren of Whaleyville; Mrs. J. L. Wood; Mrs. E. R. Ward; and Mrs. Baggett, all of Nansmond County; Mrs Edna Doughtie of Portsmouth and Mrs. L. H. Prescott, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four sons, Ernest and G. W. Blanchard, both of Richmond; L.E. Blanchard; of Edenton, N.C., and Murray Blanchard, of Suffolk; 28 grandchildren , 15 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews."
