CORA LEE BROWN EASON

   NORFOLK – Mrs. Cora Lee Eason, 70, died Wednesday at 6:25 p.m. at her home, 
700 W. 34th St. after long illness.

   She was the widow of G.R. Eason and a daughter of John R. and Mrs. Amelia 
Russell Brown. She was a native of Gates County, N.C.

   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. E.C. Bell of Norfolk, with whom she made 
her home, and Mrs. D.E. Hutto of Spokane, Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. A.D. 
Newton of Wilmington, N.C., Mrs. W.T. Taylor and Mrs. J.T. Duck of Franklin, 
Mrs. Amos King of Gates, N.C. and Mrs. Quinton Jordan of Suffolk; and one 
brother, Emmett Brown of Troutville.

   A funeral service was held at Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, Saturday at 2 
p.m. by the Rev. James H. Tate, pastor of Wilroy Baptist Mission. Burial was 
in the family cemetery, Eason’s Cross Road, Gates County, N.C.
