WILLIAM ELLIS DIES AE HOME

William Ellis, age 70 years, a prominent farmer of Gates County, N. C., died at 
his home near Corapeake, N. C. Saturday night at 7:30 o'clock after a long 
illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Ellis, three children, Miss Dena Ellis, 
Harvey, and Ray Ellis, all of near Corapeake, N. C., five sisters, Mrs. Dolly 
Benton, of Suffolk; Mrs. W. C. Crocker and Mrs. A. E. Ramsey, of Suffolk; Mrs. 
C. ,L. Russ, of Edenton, N. C.; Mrs. J. C. Yeoman, of Bay City, Mich.; four 
brothers, J. H. Ellis, Corapeake, N. C.; T. C. Ellis and B. C. Ellis, all of 
Suffolk. Also several nieces and nephews:

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at Parkers’ 
Church conducted by the Rev. C. D. Barclift, Rev. R. E. Brittle, and Rev. John 
G. Truitt.

Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
