GEORGE M. FLEMING

   GATESVILLE, N.C. – A funeral service for George M. Fleming, 57, of Gatesville, 
N.C., was held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Gatesville Baptist Church by the Rev. E. 
Lamar Eiland.
   Burial was in Gatesville Cemetery. Jack W. Harrell Funeral Home had charge of 
arrangements.
   Fleming died Saturday in a Norfolk hospital.
   A native of Chowan County, he was a son of Fredrick Vance and Mrs. Julia 
Batemen Fleming and the husband of Mrs. Marie Jones Fleming.
   He was a member of Gatesville Baptist Church and a farmer.
   Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James Robert Tomlin of 
Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Irvin Felton of Eure, Mrs. W.C. Story of 
Gatesville, and Mrs. Alton Fowler of Whaleyville; two brothers, Vance Fleming of 
Elizabeth City and Wilbur H. Fleming of Newport News; and three grandchildren.
