*GUNIA ETTA WINSLOW FOREHAND 

  WHALEYVILLE – A funeral service for Mrs. Genia Winslow forehand, 70, was 
held Monday, May 6, in Whaleyville United Methodist Church by the Rev. T.T. 
Markham.

  Burial was in Parker’s Methodist Church Cemetery, Gates County, N.C. with 
I.O. Hill and Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, in charge.

  Pallbearers were: Grover C. Branton, Jr., Hurley Jones, F.O. Clark, Ray 
Baines, William I. Franklin, Charlie B. Pearce, J. Morris Ward and Owen Eason, 
Jr.

  Mrs. Forehand died Saturday night in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, 
Suffolk.

  A native of Gates County, N.C., she was the wife of Elisha Edward Forehand.

  She was a member of Whaleyville United Methodist Church and its Women’s 
Fellowship Sunday School and prayer group.

  Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nora Pruden Rose of 
Virginia Beach; and two sons, Richard J. Forehand of Whaleyville and Luther W. 
Forehand of Tampa, Fla.
