Grafton G. Gatling

  Grafton G. Gatling, aged 60, died early Sunday at the family residence in 
Gates, N.C., after a long illness.
  Funeral services were conducted at the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock 
by the Rev. J.M. Roberts, assisted by the Rev. T.J. Whitehead.  Burial was in 
the family cemetery.
  Mr. Gatling is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anne Martin Gatling; a son and two 
daughters by an earlier marriage, Gattis L. Gatling, of Gates; Mrs. J.B. Beamon, 
of Norfolk, Va., and Miss Margaret Gatling, of Greenville, N.C.; two sons by his 
second marriage, Tucker Gatling and Grafton G. Gatling, Jr., both of Gates; two 
grandchildren; two brothers, R.W. Gatling, of Gates and L.T. Gatling of Battery 
Park, Va.; and one sister, Mrs. D.B. Traxler, of Greenville, S.C.
