RALEIGH MATHIAS HARRELL

   Raleigh Mathias Harrell, 63, of the 400 block of Carolina Avenue, died 
Saturday in a Norfolk hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Jessie Kelly 
Harrell, and the son of the late Kenneth Raleigh Harrell and the late Mrs. 
Netha Mathias Harrell.
   Mr. Harrell, who was a native of Portsmouth, was a sheet metal worker for 
Gold Kist Peanut Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   Other survivors include a daughter, Vivian H. Ellis of Suffolk; a 
brother, Marvin A. Harrell of Raleigh, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
   The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sidney F. Harrell 
Funeral Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Eureka Baptist Church 
Cemetery, Corapeake, N.C.  The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 
to 8:30 p.m. today and at 1320 Planters Drive, Suffolk.
