MRS. V. R. KELLY DIES AT AGE 78

Widow of Tazewell Kelly Succumbs to Long Illness During Night At Home of 
Daughter At Cypress.

Mrs. Virginia Riddick Kelly, widow of the late Tazewell Kelly, and daughter of 
Elizabeth and John K. Riddick, of Cypress Chapel, died yesterday evening at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Baines in Cypress Chapel, after a long illness. 
She was 78 years of age.

Mrs. Kelly is survived by the following children: Lonnie Kelly of Clarenton, 
Va., Mrs. Livius Bryant, of Suffolk; Edward Kelly, of Corapeake. N. C.; Mrs. Roy 
Baines, Cypress Chapel; Ballentine A. Riddick, Suffolk: Mrs. Clio Henry, Tampa, 
Fla. also 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, John K. 
Riddick, of Whaleyville, and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Brinkley, of Cypress Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, at Eureka 
Baptist Church, Corapeake, N. C., of which she was a member.
